GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress released “Wishful Drinking (with Sam Hunt)” today (LISTEN HERE), her first collaboration since the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, Lady Like. The official music video stars Andress and Hunt in a Nashville dive bar, featuring vintage-inspired fashion and ‘70s glam.

“I’ve never done anything like ‘Wishful Drinking’ before,” Andress said. “I’ve always wanted to work with Sam and have been such a fan of his for a long time. I admire how he stays so true to himself and am so happy to have him join me for my first collaboration. The song was co-written by my friend JP Saxe, and it became this amazing sad bop, which we all know I love.”

“I heard Ingrid’s music a while back and knew right away she was a very talented singer and songwriter,” explains Hunt. “I met her not long ago at a Nashville Sports League kickball game and I really enjoyed getting to know her a little bit. When the opportunity came along to be a part of this song with her, I was all in.”

Filmed at the Flamingo Cocktail Club in Nashville, the “Wishful Drinking” video gives a nod to Andress’ love for ‘70s cult classic films, while adding a modern twist of her own. In the video, Andress and Hunt perform the track from across the room before joining each other on an open mic stage. Watch the video here.

Later this year, Andress will embark on her recently announced headlining US and European The Feeling Things Tour. In between headlining shows, Andress is also set to rejoin Dan + Shay on The (Arena) Tour and make her Stagecoach debut at the 2022 festival. See a full list of tour dates below or visit IngridAndress.com for more information.

In 2020, Andress released her debut album Lady Like, which was named “one of the year’s strongest albums” by the Associated Press and featured the 2x platinum-certified No. 1 radio single “More Hearts Than Mine.” With every song co-written and co-produced by Andress, Lady Like became one of Billboard’s Top 10 Best Country Albums of 2020 and set the record as the highest streaming country female debut album of all time upon its release.

Known for her “lyrically rich, conversational and story-driven songs” (Rolling Stone), Andress arrived at this year’s GRAMMY ceremony as the only country artist to be nominated for Best New Artist, in addition to two other nominations for Best Country Album and Best Country Song. The four-time ACM Awards nominee and two-time CMA and CMT Music Awards nominee also led the country genre as Apple Music’s pick for their Up Next Program in March of 2020, the first female country artist to do so. With over 600 million global streams, Andress is one of Variety’s “10 Storytellers to Watch” and named on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.
